FORMULATION OF MEGANISI’S BEACHES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LEUKADA

The proposals aim to provide a comprehensive reformation of all beaches under study, through the design integration of the beaches’ open spaces and its deliverance of vehicles and vessels.

The proposed redesign includes:

•           The formulation and redesign of the open entrance public space in the beach, providing the suitable urban equipment.

•           The exact allocation of the service zone for cruise boats.

•           The design of the bus station area.

•           The allocation of parking spaces,  in relevance to  the road.

•           The refectory’s location and the design of its connection with the outdoor space

•           The sports’ and playing ground’s location.

•           The design of areas for pedestrians with suitable materials, and the facilitation of bathers’ access along the beach.

•           The organization and enrichment of plantings.

•           The design and organization of the necessary urban equipment.
